SUMMARY

Anamorph: unknown.
Teleomorph: ascomata 200-400µm diam, ± globose, thick-walled, ± hyaline; the neck cylindrical, 200-250µm long and 80-100µm diam, dark brown, surrounded by an irregular mat of dark hyphae, slightly protruding from the substratum surface. Peridium to ca 20µm thick, composed of 6-7 layers of thin-walled flattened textura angularis; neck cells similar in construction but often strongly melanized. Asci 100-140 x 16-20µm, cylindric-clavate, thin-walled at all stages. Ascospores arranged biseriately, 28-34 x 7-10µm, fusiform, sometimes slightly curved, the ends acute, with one median constricted septum; fairly thick-walled, golden to mid brown, without a gelatinous sheath.
