Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: stromata 1-1.5 x 0.3-0.7 mm, elliptical in outline, slightly raised, discrete or rarely confluent, black, ventral zone present, entostroma composed of hyaline hyphae and host cells. Ascomata 200-250 µm diam., neck 200-250 x 100 µm, solitary or few within the stroma. Asci 55-65 x 9-12 µm. Ascospores (15-)16.5-20(-23) x 3-4(-4.5) µm, narrowly ellipsoidal-fusiform with rounded ends, slightly curved, appendages absent.
