Description: 

Cladonia parasitica, exuberantly fertile colony on the lignum of a fallen veteran Quercus trunk, VC 23, Oxon. The basal squamules form a dense crust and are intricately subcoralloid with isidia-like granules. The podetia are conspicuously elevated above the basal squamules.
