SUMMARY
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: ascomata apothecia, scattered, erumpent and broadly attached to the substratum, immersed parts brown, exposed parts black, 150-200 µm diam., initially with a pore-like opening, disc exposed when old. Exciple composed of brown isodiametric cells, K- , N-, in the upper part of more elongate, narrow cells, which protrude as broad obtuse-ended hairs. Hypothecium indistinct. Subhymenium hyaline. Hymenium hyaline, KI-. Epihymenium greenish, K+ olivaceous, N-. Interascal tissue composed of broad thin-walled paraphyses with slightly swollen apices. Asci 35-45 x 6.5-8 µm, cylindric-clavate, thin-walled, not fissitunicate, the wall thickened apically, I- and KI- , 8-spored. Ascospores 8-10 (-11) x 2-3 µm, cylindric-fusiform, straight or slightly curved, hyaline, aseptate, smooth, without a distinct perispore or gelatinous sheath.
