SUMMARY
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: Ascomata perithecioid, immersed in thallus lobes of its host (Physcia caesia). Apex of perithecium emerging as a reddish spot through the cortex of the host. Peridial wall pale pinkish-orange, composed of radially compressed paraplectenchyma. The colour of the wall comprises a diffuse pinkish-orange pigment along with minute orange-red droplets. The ostiolar region is intensely pigmented (orange-red). Pigments of peridial wall are not changed on addition of K. Hamathecium of asci with thickened apices and containing 8 spores, KI-. Interascal filaments inconspicuous or absent. Ascospores hyaline, 1-septate, smooth walled, constricted at the septum, 13.5-17.5 × 6.5-8.5 µm.
