SUMMARY
Thallus absent.
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: ascomata apothecia, (110-) 180-350 µm diam., black, discoid, rather irregular in outline, scattered, sessile, with a very inconspicuous lecideine margin that is only visible in some immature apothecia. Hypothecium hyaline to pale yellow. Hymenium 40-50 µm deep, slightly aeruginose (mounted in water). Epithecium dark brownish grey, crystalline. Interascal tissue of broad fairly thick-walled occasionally branched paraphyses to ca 5 µm diam., the apices clavate and slightly swollen. Asci 30-38 x 14-18 µm, clavate to almost saccate when mature, thick-walled, lecanorine, 4- to 8-spored. Ascospores 9-11.5 x 7-8 µm, broadly ellipsoidal, sometimes slightly inaequilateral, hyaline, aseptate, fairly thin-walled, smooth, without an epispore or gelatinous sheath.
