SUMMARY
Stromata absent, anamorph unknown.
Teleomorph: ascomata cleistothecia, 250-300 µm diam, globose, the wall thin and membranous, pale yellow-brown, composed of 3-4 layers of flattened angular cells. Interascal tissue reported by Thoen & Schultheis (2005) but could actually comprise collapsed, discharged asci. Asci 35-50 x 4-6 µm, cylindrical, short-stalked, very thin-walled and without apical structures, 8-spored, apparently evanescent. Ascospores 3.5-5 µm diam, ± globose, pale yellow, thin-walled, aseptate, with irregular wing- or flange-like ornamentation.
