SUMMARY
Thallus absent, lichenicolous, the surrounding thallus not or only slightly necrotized.
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: ascomata apothecia, 100-350 µm diam., often in clusters, black, rounded, convex to cushion-shaped, erumpent from the thallus. Epithecium brown, K+ olive. Hymenium 30-35 μm tall, I+ red. Hypothecium red-brown (K+ olive); Interascal tissue of pseudoparaphyses 1.5-2.5 μm diam., the apices thickened with dark pigment, to 4 μm diam. Asci 80-95 x 25-30 µm, clavate, semi-fissitunicate, with a large apical dome and a distinct ocular chamber, 8-spored. Ascospores 10-14 × (3-)3.5-5 μm, clavate to clavate-cylindrical, 1-septate, the septum slightly supramedian and hardly constricted, hyaline, quite thin-walled, smooth, without an epispore, gelatinous sheath or appendages.
