Platismatia norvegica
Like Platismatia glauca, but with broader, more rounded lobes, to 2.5 cm, with rounded, sparingly indented margins; the upper surface dull pale grey, not or sometimes tinged brownish, with a very pronounced network of low, sharp ridges with indistinct pseudocyphellae and simple or clustered isidia. Apothecia not seen.
Assessed by Woods & Coppins (2012) as of Least Concern, but listed as Nationally Scarce and included within Section 2(4) of the NC (Scotland) Act. The UK is considered to have International Responsibility for protection of this species.

Mainly in moss-lichen montane heaths, as well as on exposed, siliceous rocks and on well-lit, leached, acidic bark, especially of Pinus, Betula, Salix and Quercus in relict Caledonian forests; local and rare.
