Dothiora thujae (All Fungi)
General description:
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: stromata 70-100 µm diam., unilocular, flattened-globose, scattered. Ascomata as a single locule within the stroma. Asci 65-90 x 20-24 µm. Ascospores 20-27 x 7-9 µm, brown, with 3-4 transverse septa, frequently with longitudinal septa, constricted at the primary septum.
Associations:
On dead female cone scales of Thuja occidentalis and x Cupressocyparis leylandii.
Distribution:
Rare. C. & S. England (Surrey, Warwickshire).
