Description: 

Gyalecta carneola, hymenium after staining. TLGB&I (2009) states that the paraphyses in Pachyphiale are "unbranched, thread-like, septate, +/- hooked at the tips". Staining reveals the presence of numerous short branches and a significant degree of anastomosing.
