Description: 

Dermatocarpon miniatum, hymenium after staining with ink and then with Lugol's iodine after pre-treatment with K. The asci are 8-spored with a K/I- tholus. Interascal filaments are absent. The hymenial gel is hemiamyloid (I+ red, K/I+ blue).
