Lathagrium auriforme 1.jpg
Lathagrium auriforme (syn. Collema auriforme), growing directly on concrete paving, Little Addington churchyard (VC32 Northamptonshire). Although it is usually L. furvum (syn. Collema fuscovirens) which grows directly on exposed rock, L. auriforme grows independently of mosses when the substratum is slow to dry out after rain. Here the concrete paviers are on the shaded, north side of the chuch and they have a non-slip texture which holds water.
