Description:

Ochrolechia arborea, growing on a large twig of a planted Prunus cf. avium tree in a domestic garden in VC 20, Hertfordshire. The twig has a nutrient-enriched community but the smooth bark of Prunus twigs renders them slightly acidic (O. arborea is typically associated with acid-bark and lignum).
