Description: 

Fuscidea recensa, forming rather non-descript sorediate patches amongst the more conspicuous crusts on the vertical faces of sandstone gravestones, VC 98, Argyllshire. In this habitat F. recensa could be easily confused with F. praeruptorum and Lecidella scabra, from which it differs in its negative spot reactions and UV+ bluish white soralia.
