Coenogonium tavaresianum, growing on the trunk of a veteran Quercus, VC 23, Oxfordshire. Note that the thallus (which is thin and film-like on exposed surfaces) is better-developed, with a suggestion of verrucose units, where protected from mollusc-browsing in crevices.
