Description: 

Lichenoconium usneae, lichenicolous on Physcia adscendens, growing on twig of apple tree in orchard, VC 30, Bedfordshire. This material keys out to, and seems to fit, L. usneae by use of the draft lichenic. keys and in Hafellner & Zimmerman (2012, in Herzogia 25: 47-59). L. usneae is said to infect a wide range of hosts. The conidiomata in this material are c. 100 µm diam. and the conidia are 3-3.5 µm.
