Description: 

Diplotomma alboatrum, ascospores mounted in nitric acid to clear the cell contents and make the septation more apparent. The submuriform septation is apparent even before the ascospores have been discharged from the asci (compare with the strictly 3-septate ascospores of D. hedinii).
