SUMMARY
Anamorph: conidiomata pycnidia, to ca 150 µm diam., unilocular, ± globose, dark brown, immersed. Ostiole absent, dehiscence by irregular breakdown of the upper wall. Peridium thick, composed of dark brown thick-walled cells. Conidiophores lining the entire inner surface of the conidioma, short, irregularly branched at the base, pale brown, verrucose. Conidiogenous cells not clearly differentiated from the conidiophore, the conidia with thallic proliferation, formed by fragmentation of the conidiophores with meristematic growth from the base. Conidia 5-9 x 3.5-5 µm, irregular in form, ranging from cylindrical to obovoid, both ends truncate except for the apical conidium which has a rounded apex, dark greyish brown, aseptate, thick-walled, coarsely verrucose, without an epispore, gelatinous sheath or appendages.
