SUMMARY
Forming inconspicuous convex to subglobose galls on the host thallus, with its hymenium replacing the thalline cortex. The galls are concolorous with ininfected parts of the thallus, and look like slightly swollen areoles. In the GB&I collection the thallus is discoloured to a rusty brown, but this may be due to chemicals in the treated timber.
