SUMMARY
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: ascostromata uniloculate perithecia, 130-250 µm diam. and 170-300 µm high, subglobose to pyriform, dark brown, the neck papillate, glabrous or slightly tuberculate. Peridium relatively thin, membranous, with angular cells 8-15 µm diam. Interascal tissue composed of cellular pseudoparaphyses 2-4 µm in diam., tending to deliquesce at maturity. Asci 132-148 x 15-18µm, cylindrical, short-stalked, the apex rounded. Ascospores 38-42 (-49) x 6.5-8 (-9.5) µm, 3-septate; the upper cell 9.5-11 x 6.5-7.5µm, ellipsoid-conical; the middle cells 8.5-9.5 x 6.5-8µm, cylindrical to doliiform; the lower cell 10.5-12 x 5.5-6µm, narrowly conical; with conspicuous oblique and slightly kinked germ slits, apparently without a perispore, gelatinous sheath or appendages.
