SUMMARY
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: ascomata apothecia, scattered or in clusters, at first immersed, then somewhat erumpent, 150-230 µm diam. and slightly smaller in height (vertical section), black, strongly cupulate, opening by a pore, the margin irregularly fissured, marginal hairs inconspicuous when viewed from above. Exciple pseudoparenchymatous, ca 50 µm thick, dark brown in squash mounts, the cells globose, 5-10 µm diam., sometimes extending into a small stipe-like base below; hairs septate, 30-40 x 2.5-3 µm, dark green with almost colourless apices adjacent to the hymenium, entirely dark green towards the outside, smooth-walled, the apices acute. Paraphyses 2-2.5 (-3) µm diam., septate, colourless throughout, rather thick-walled, sometimes irregular or slightly enlarged at the apex. Asci 45-55 x 8-9 µm, ± cylindrical to narrowly ovoid, short-stalked, the apical part attenuated when immature, cap 2-3 µm thick, not reacting with iodine, 8-spored. Ascospores arranged biseriately, 7-8.5 x 3.5-4 (-4.5) µm, ellipsoidal, aseptate, colourless, smooth, fairly thick-walled, biguttulate, without a perispore or appendages.
