SUMMARY
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: ascomata apothecia, at first immersed, sometimes becoming weakly erumpent, 140-170 µm diam., black, appearing slightly rugose from the surface, the margin inrolled when dry, hardly striate, not visibly hairy, the disc deeply urceolate. Exciple dark olivaceous, not carbonized, 40-50 µm thick, pseudoparenchymatous, marginal hairs 20-30 x 2.5-3.5 µm, olive brown below, blue-green above with colourless tips, not septate, smooth, tending to adhere in fascicles. Paraphyses filiform, septate, 1.5-2 µm diam., rarely branched, sometimes slightly enlarged above. Asci 54-60 x 8-10 µm, ± cylindrical to narrowly ovoid, short-stalked, the apex rounded, thick-walled when young, the apex 2-3 µm thick, not reacting with iodine, 8-spored. Ascospores 7-8.5 x 4-5 µm, ellipsoidal, aseptate, colourless, biguttulate, without a perispore or appendages.
