Family: TilachlidiaceaeGenus: Septofusidium
SUMMARY
Anamorph: conidiomata absent. Conidiophores mostly short but sometimes up to 100 µm long, usually fasciculate, irregularly branched, seldom ± verticillate, smooth, mostly ca 3 µm diam. Conidiogenous cells usually in irregular verticils of 2-4, but sometimes solitary, sometimes mixed with metulae, 20-30 µm long and 3-4 µm diam. at the base, tapering rather gradually from about two-thirds the length to a slender tube 1-1.5 µm diam., often rough towards the apex. Conidia (7-) 8-9·5 (-I I) x 3-4 µm, fusiform to irregularly ellipsoidal, frequently truncate at one end, finely roughened, borne in long dry tangled chains with minute collarette-like projections at each end of the catenate spores visible when the chains break up.
Teleomorph: not known.
