SUMMARY
Spermogonia unknown, aecia and uredinia absent.
Telia hypophyllous and on petioles and stems, on conspicuous yellow or orange spots, closely scattered, hemispherical or on the stems elongated, pulvinate, compact, hard, small, at first pale reddish then reddish-brown. Teliospores 35-75 x 12-26 µm, cylindrical to subfusiform, attenuate at both ends or rarely rounded above, not or slightly constricted at the septum, the wall smooth, yellowish-brown, ca 4µm thick at the sides, 5-10 µm at the apex, pore of upper cell subapical, superior in the lower cell, pedicel to 150 µm long and 10 µm diam., hyaline, persistent; 1-, 3- or 4-celled telia also occur.
