Uredinia: developing on both leaf surfaces, minute, ± round, often confluent, pulverulent, chestnut brown. Urediniospores 19-21 x 17-18.5 µm [17-22 x 15-18 µm fide Wilson & Henderson 1966], globose to broadly ovoid, pale brown, the wall delicately echinulate, with two equatorial pores.
Telia: developing on both leaf surfaces, minute, scattered, pulverulent, blackish brown. Teliospores 27-30.5 x 21.5-25 [22-33 x 17-26 µm fide Wilson & Henderson 1966], cylindric-ellipsoidal to ovoid, chestnut brown, hardly constricted at the ± median septum, the wall very delicately echinulate, pore of the upper cell almost apical, of the lower cell equatorial. Pedicels hyaline, slender, short, often oblique.
