SUMMARY
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: stromata absent. Ascomata 250-350 µm diam., ± globose, pale orange to pink, not changing colour in KOH, solitary, superficial, loosely attached to the substratum by a sparse white hyphal subiculum, with a small pointed papillate apex. Peridium 20-25 µm thick, rough-walled, covered with loose strands of hyphae, composed of an outer layer of angular to elongate thick-walled cells 8-13 x 4-6 µm, and an inner layer of hyaline, thin-walled elongate cells, the ostiole lined with periphyses. Interascal tissue not seen. Asci 70-105 x 13-17 µm, clavate, with a short tapering stalk, thin-walled, not fissitunicate, the apex obtuse to rounded, without a clearly defined apical structure, 8-spored. Ascospores arranged biseriately and obliquely, (27-) 29-33 x 6.5-7.5 µm, fusiform, usually 3-septate, thin-walled, hyaline to pale yellow, smooth, with the apices attenuated into long cellular curved appendages 8-15 µm long and ca 1 µm diam.
