SUMMARY
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: ascomata apothecia, gregarious to caespitose, 17–60 mm high, 7–30 mm wide, sessile to shortly stipitate, long and narrowly ear-shaped, split, stipitate or sessile. Hymenium pale ochre to ochre yellow, rarely with pink stains. Exciple surface brownish ochre to yellow brown, warty, rarely wrinkled at the base. Warts to 130 µm tall and in diam., conical, gregarious, brown, the flesh K+ yellow. Basal tomentum abundant, light ochre to orange-ochre. Interascal tissue of paraphyses, recurved at the apices, branching not seen. Asci 110–200 [Olariaga et al. 2015] × 9.5–11 μm, the spore-containing part to ca 70 µm, cylindrical, with a long tapering stalk, the apex obtuse to rounded, operculate, not staining in iodine, 8-spored. Ascospores arranged obliquely uniseriately, 9-10.5 x 6-6.5 µm, ellipsoidal to cylindric-ellipsoidal, aseptate, hyaline, quite thick-walled, smooth, without a gelatinous sheath or appendages.
