Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: stromata absent. Ascomata 200-350 µm diam, neck central, 700-1000 x 30-60 µm and straight or curved. Peridium 12-35 µm thick, composed of 4-5 layers of compressed or polygonal cells. Interascal tissue absent. Asci 25-40 x 4-7 µm, ± fusiform, 8-spored. Ascospores 15-22 x 1 µm, near filiform, septum median, sometimes with thin pointed appendages, each cell containing two groups of small guttules, lying in parallel within the ascus.
