SUMMARY
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: ascomata perithecial, 100-125 µm diam, solitary, superficial, non-stromatic, not immersed in mycelium, subglobose, pale brown with an orange or pinkish tinge, collapsing irregularly when dry. Ascomatal wall 10-13 µm thick, K-, with an outer layer of textura intricata with hyphae 1.8-3.5 µm diam, and an inner layer of narrow elongate cells. Outer wall covered in inconspicuous hairs 17-30 x 2.5-3 .5 µm in size, hyaline, straight, smooth, 0-( to 3-) septate, thin-walled, with a slightly enlarged base and rounded apex. Interascal tissue composed of paraphyses that deliquesce at maturity. Ostiolar canal periphysate. Asci 35-45 x 7.5-10 µm, subcylindrical to clavate, the apex with a minute refractive ring, 4- or 8-spored. Ascospores irregularly biseriate, 12-14 x 3.5-4.5 µm, narrowly ellipsoidal, hyaline, ± equally 2-celled, not constricted at the septum, smooth.
