SUMMARY
Anamorph: colonies effuse, scattered, the mycelium mostly immersed. Stroma and setae absent. Conidiophores forming from aggregations of dark brown cells, 120–140 µm long, solitary, erect, straight or slightly curved, the basal part 10-12.5 µm diam., somewhat inflated and the upper part 7-8 µm diam., ± cylindrical, brown to dark brown, the upper part usually more strongly pigmented, thick-walled, smooth to verruculose, the apex sometimes slightly constricted, periclinal thickening and collarettes absent, the conidia formed in robust chains from a fertile locus well within the upper part of the conidiophore. Conidia cylindrical, 31-35 x 5.5-6 µm, the apex broadly rounded to truncate, the base truncate, colourless, usually 7-septate, fairly thick-walled, smooth, without a gelatinous sheath or appendages.
