SUMMARY
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: stromata absent. Ascomata perithecia, 180-240 (-300) µm diam, globose to pyriform, with a short neck (sometimes with two) 30-45 µm long and 40-50 µm diam., yellow-green to olivaceous, with very long appendages arranged in a whorl around the apex, to 1000 (-1500) µm long and 3-3.5 µm diam. at the base, thin-walled, sometimes branched, the apices not circinate. Peridium composed of several layers of flattened pale brown fairly thick-walled angular to epidermoid cells. Interascal tissue absent. Asci formed from a basal fascicle, 26-43 x 9.5-13 µm, obovoid to broadly clavate, thin-walled, without apical structures, evanescent, 8-spored. Ascospores 8.5-10.5 (-12) x 7-9 (-9.5) µm, broadly limoniform, thin-walled, at first hyaline , becoming pinkish in mass, aseptate, smooth, with a distinct germ pore at either end, without a gelatinous sheath or appendages.
