SUMMARY
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: ascostromata perithecial, 500-600 µm diam., sometimes elliptical in transverse section, solitary or in small groups, immersed, with an erumpent laterally compressed neck to ca 400 µm long. Peridium black in the ostiolar region, rather pale below. Interascal tissue composed of narrow trabeculate pseudoparaphyses ca 1 µm diam., abundantly branched and anastomosed. Asci 140-165 x 13-15 (-16) µm, narrlowly clavate, rather short-stalked, thick-walled and fissitunicate, the apex obtuse with a distinct ocular chamber, 8-spored. Ascospores 28-33 x 5.5-8 µm, fusiform, the apices acute, distinctly compressed at the ± median septum, mid brown, rather thick-walled, minutely verruculose, with a gelatinous sheath.
