SUMMARY
Thallus: apparently not lichenized.
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: Ascomata perithecial, 80-100 µm diam. Involucrellum present, not extending to form a fringe. Exciple absent; the asci appear to 'sit' directly on the bark cells of the host twig and no suggestion of an exciple can be seen curling away from the involucrellum and under the hymenium. Hymenial gel not staining in iodine or KOH/iodine. Asci 27-35 x 14-17 µm, with a truncate apex. Ascospores 18-23 x 3.2-3.5 µm, curved, 1-septate, hyaline, with rounded ends.
