SUMMARY
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: ascostromata thyriothecia, 110-190 x 50-70 µm, scattered, irregular in shape and sometimes slightly branched but usually ± elliptical in outline, subcuticular. Lower wall fairly well-developed, composed of several layers of small angular cells 5-7 µm diam., at first hyaline and becoming mid brown. Interascal tissue composed of numerous inconspicuous short cellular pseudoparaphyses. Asci 18-25 x (8.5-) 10-12 µm, broadly cylindrical, sessile, thick-walled and fissitunicate, 8-spored but often with some aborting. Ascospores (8-) 10-11 x (2.5-) 3-3.5 µm, ellipsoidal, the ends obtuse, usually 1-septate but with a proportion of spores developing one or two further septa, hyaline, thin-walled.
