SUMMARY
Thallus of scattered, strongly convex to bullate areoles, 0.2-0.5 mm diam., greenish white to very pale brown. Medulla I–; prothallus poorly developed, black.
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: ascomata apothecial, 0.2-0.4 mm diam., sessile, ± flat to slightly convex, black. True exciple persistent, black, brown in section but greenish at outer edge. Epithecium olivaceous brown, becoming bluish green in K. Hymenium 60-70 μm tall. Hypothecium dark brown. Paraphyses 1.5-2 μm wide, mainly simple; apices clavate with dark greenish walls, to 3 μm wide. Ascospores (9-)11 12(-15) × 4-5 μm, narrowly ellipsoid. Thallus C–, K+ weakly yellow, KC–, Pd–, UV– (three unknown lichen products detected by t.l.c.).
