Anamorph: no information available.
Teleomorph: ascomata apothecia, 0.2-0.6 (-0.8) mm diam., dispersed, flat to convex, disc white, blue to brown-grey to black, often piebald when wet. Thalline margin weakly developed, usually paler than the disc, hyaline or with dark brown upper parts, the hyphal cells with expanded, ellipsoid lumina to 3 μm diam., lined by a darker, persistent proper margin. Epithecium hyaline or with granules which are pale grey-brown to blue-green, K+ intensifying green, N+ red, rarely partly or totally purple-brown and K+ intensifying purple. Hymenium 50-65 μm high, hyaline. Hypothecium hyaline. Interascal tissue of paraphyses, 1.5-2 μm diam., unbranched or forked above, the apices swollen to ca 5 μm, often coloured. Asci cylindric-clavate, the outer part of the ascus wall K/I+ dark blue, remainder unstained, with a K/I+ blue apical dome with a central apical plug, 8-spored.
