Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: similar to Kirschsteiniothelia atra, but with ascospores 18.5-23.5 x 5-6.5 µm, fusiform with acute ends, 1-septate, pale brown with two large guttules and a narrow gelatinous sheath. The collection may be immature.
