SUMMARY
Anamorph: conidiomata absent. Sporodochia erumpent through the upper surface of the lichen thallus, discrete, sometimes becoming confluent, 0.5-1 mm diam, 0.1-2 mm high, bright pink, consisting of dense masses of conidia. Conidiophores and conidiogenous cells not clearly differentiated from vegetative hyphae. Conidia 17-30 x 11-20 µm, solitary, hyaline, irregular in shape and size, consisting of a helicoid multicellular transversely septate hypha with individual cells 4-10 x 3-5 µm, constricted at the septa; walls smooth, curled in three dimensional convolutions.
