SUMMARY
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: ascomata stalked apothecia, the disc 0.5-1.5 cm diam., involute to irregularly saddle-shaped, the margin first deflexed, later expanded, sometimes becoming campanulate, adnate, the hymenium pale greyish-brown to steel-grey to dark greyish, outer surface of the exciple villose, pale greyish-brown to dark grey; stipe 1.5-3.5 cm high, 2-4 mm broad, solid, terete or slightly compressed, with one or two inconspicuous grooves below, pubescent, pale greyish-white or greyish-yellow. Outer exciple of angular cells, with fascicles of short broad club-shaped hyphae. Subhymenium inconspicuous, 40-60 µm thick. Hymenium 260-300 µm thick. Paraphyses 3.5 µm diam., unbranched, thin-walled, the apices clavate, to 6.5 µm diam. Asci 230-250 x 13.5-17 µm, cylindrical, long-stalked, the apex rounded, 8-spored. Ascospores 19-21.5 x 11-12 µm, broadly ellipsoidal, fairly thin-walled, aseptate, hyaline, smooth, without a perispore or appendages.
