Anamorph: unknown.
Teleomorph: stromata absent. Ascomata 200-300 µm diam, crowded, often in groups of 2-3, the necks central, 250-350 x 60-100 µm and straight, broad and tapering upwards. Peridium 10-12 µm thick, composed of ca 3 layers of cells. Asci 30-45(-50) x 5-6.5 µm, 4-spored, sometimes with a further 1-4 smaller degenerated spores. Ascospores 12-18 x 2.5-3 µm, narrowly ellipsoidal, septum median, with appendages, each cell containing 2 large guttules at maturity.
