Infected shoots usually clustered, more rarely scattered or solitary, slightly elongated. Leaves moderately enlarged, especially lengthwise, soft with revolute margins, bright pinkish red all over, eventually becoming chalk-white, the hymenium dense, covering the entire undersurface of the leaf. Basidia large, 6-8 µm diam., with 2 sterigmata. Basidiospores (15-)20-27 x 6.0-11.5 µm, broadly cylindric-ellipsoidal to subpyriform, permanently aseptate. Conidia not known.
