SUMMARY
Sori developing as roughly circular spots on living leaves, white to pale yellowish, 3-7 mm diam. Ustilospores 13-15 µm diam., globose or very broadly ellipsoidal or ovoid (perhaps due to compression), hyaline or pale brown, aseptate, the wall smooth, 1.3-1.8 µm thick, two-layered, the layers roughly equal in thickness.
Conidia forming as whitish growths on both surfaces of leaves, mostly 30-45 x ca 2 µm, fusiform to filiform, hyaline [information from Mordue & Ainsworth 1984].
