SUMMARY

Anamorph: Phomopsis tamicola (Cooke) Traverso (1906). Alpha-conidia 9-10 x 3 µm; beta-conidia 20-25 x 1 µm.
Teleomorph: stromata seen on host surface as limited black spots 0.5-5 mm diam., or as confluent to widely blackened areas, ventral zone definite. Ascomata 250-330 µm diam., ostioles possibly 0.5 mm long. Asci 40-50 x 6-6.5 µm. Ascospores 10-13 x 2.5-3 µm.
Wehmeyer considered this to belong within the D. arctii aggregate.
