SUMMARY

Anamorph: Phomopsis ryckholtii (Sacc.) Höhn. (1906). Alpha-conidia 6-8 x 2.5-3; possible beta-conidia 22 x 1 µm.
Teleomorph: stromata on host surface as pustulate ruptures of the periderm through which one or a few ostioles are erumpent, dorsal blackening irregularly present often tending to dip slightly into the bark, ventral zone usually present. Ascomata tending to be in small groups, collectively erumpent. Ascospores 11-13 x 2-3 µm.
Wehmeyer considered this to belong within the D. eres aggregate.
