SUMMARY
Description contributed by Graham Kinsey, CABI, based on Wehmeyer (1933).
Anamorph: Phomopsis revellens (Sacc.) Höhn. (1906). Alpha-conidia 6-7 x 3 µm.
Teleomorph: stromata on host surface as numerous pulvinate pustules with a central angular blackened disc through which the ostioles are barely erumpent, dorsal zone present or absent except around the ostioles. Ascomata loosely grouped or irregularly scattered, ostioles barely erumpent or sometimes elongated, erumpent singly or in small clusters. Ascospores 10-14 x 2.5-4 µm.
Wehmeyer considered this to belong within the D. eres aggregate.
