SUMMARY

Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: stromata on host surface as numerous pustulate ruptures exposing the blackened bark surface, dorsal blackening only above the perithecia, ventral zone deep in the wood. Ascomata 320-400 x 240 µm, scattered singly, often erumpent in small groups. Ascospores 11-12(-13) x 2-2.5 µm, strongly constricted at the septum.
Wehmeyer considered this to belong within the D. eres aggregate.
