Anamorph: not known.

Teleomorph: stromata with ostiolar discs pustulate-erumpent, 0.5-1.5 mm diam, dorsal zone fine, pustulate, ventral zone definite in wood, entostroma not strongly differentiated, greenish discolorations sometimes present. Ascospores 14-17.5 µm long.

Wehmeyer considered this to belong within the D. padi aggregate.  There is some doubt over the GB & I records, which may in fact be of D. impulsa.
