SUMMARY

Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: stromata on host surface as numerous, sometimes pustulate, ruptures of the periderm exposing the blackened bark surface, which is irregularly blackened particularly around the erumpent ostioles, ventral zone definite in the wood. Ascomata irregularly scattered or loosely grouped, sometimes collectively erumpent. Ascospores 9-14 x 2.5-3.5 µm.
Wehmeyer considered this to belong within the D. eres aggregate.
