SUMMARY

Anamorph: Phomopsis insignis Traverso (1906). Alpha-conidia 8-10 x 4 µm.
Teleomorph: stromata with entostroma somewhat limited in area, 1-7 mm diam but irregular in outline, surface of bark irregularly blackened, sharply outlined on host surface, ventral zone in bark or just within wood. Ascomata 320-400 x 160-240 µm, scattered singly. Ascospores 11-12 x 2.5-3.5 µm.
Wehmeyer considered this to belong within the D. pardalota aggregate.
